Podiatrist & Foot and Ankle Surgeon

Founder of New Mexico Foot & Ankle Institute with specialty training in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction and minimal incision bunion surgery.

About Dr. Ivey

Dr. Ivey was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and comes from a family of 10. He graduated with a degree in Biology from Brigham Young University and received his podiatry degree from California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1999. Looking for sunshine brought Dr. Ivey and his family to New Mexico for training at both the VA Hospital and Lovelace Hospital. He has specialty training in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction and took a special interest in podiatric sports medicine during residency, and is very adept at using orthotics to control a variety of foot problems that would otherwise require surgery.

He is the founder of New Mexico Foot & Ankle Institute and takes pride in making it the premier location for foot and ankle care. He was the only physician in New Mexico using shockwave therapy as an alternative to surgery for chronic heel pain and other chronic conditions, and the first physician in New Mexico to use laser therapy to treat fungal nails.

Dr. Ivey became the first surgeon in the region to be certified in minimal incision bunion surgery. He has worked tirelessly over the past 20 years to be the best bunion surgeon in the state of New Mexico.
