Before your surgery

Pre-op phone screening
A nurse will call to review medications, allergies, and anything we should know.
No food or drink
Generally nothing to eat or drink after midnight before surgery — your team will confirm specifics.
Shower & arrive comfortable
Wear loose-fitting clothing. Leave jewelry and valuables at home.
The day of your surgery
Arrive on time
Plan to arrive at the time your surgical team specified — typically 1–2 hours before your procedure.
Meet your team
You'll meet your nurse, anesthesia provider, and surgeon before going to the OR.
Recovery & discharge
After surgery you'll recover with a dedicated nurse before going home with a designated driver.
