Anesthesia
Our board-certified anesthesia providers tailor your anesthetic plan to your procedure, health history, and personal preferences. Before surgery, you'll meet with your provider to review the plan and answer questions.
Common types of anesthesia
- General anesthesia — you'll be fully asleep and unaware during your procedure.
- Regional anesthesia — numbs a larger area of the body, often paired with sedation.
- Monitored anesthesia care (MAC) — IV sedation that keeps you relaxed and comfortable.
- Local anesthesia — numbs only the area being treated.
Your safety
You'll be continuously monitored throughout your procedure and recovery. Please share a complete medication list — including over-the-counter drugs, supplements, and herbal products — when our nurse calls.
