About Dr. Bergsten
Born in Albuquerque, Dr. Bergsten has spent nearly his entire life in New Mexico. He graduated from the University of New Mexico (UNM) with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, attended medical school at UNM, and stayed there to complete a four-year residency in Anesthesiology, followed by a one-year fellowship in Chronic Pain Medicine.
He is board certified in Anesthesia and Pain Medicine with over nine years of clinical experience. His vision is to offer efficient care with short wait times in an environment where the patient is involved in their treatment plan — building a network with other specialists to address the underlying issues contributing to chronic pain.
Dr. Bergsten is married with four children, is a passionate UNM Lobos fan, and enjoys basketball, yard work, and golf.
